Solution!!!
Ok, Your in luck. Just found a solution that worked for me. Maybe is could for you. Here is the link.
http://www.driverzone.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=2200&pid=10030#pid10030
I am pasting the answer below also:
RE: Toshiba Conexant HD audio driver for XP
I'm currently in the same situation as the original poster on this thread. I have a client that does not wish to run Vista and chooses to run XP Pro instead. After many hours of fighting this issue I was able to get sound working on a Toshiba P105-S6197.
(caution: the following fix involves using the 5047 waikiki driver, it may not be an optimal solution. I take no responsibility for any damages, loss of data, consciousness, bowel control, blah, blah, blah...)
Here's what I did.
From device manager, right click on the audio device that is listed in Other Devices, choose Properties, then click on the Details tab. From the Details tab, select 'Hardware Ids' in the drop-down menu, you should see an entry identical to this one
HDAUDIOFUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5045&SUBSYS_1179FF31
make note of the number following SUBSYS if yours is different than the one above.
Close audio properties.
Download the following driver from Toshiba:
sp105audiox
If that link doesn't work, try this one:
Alternate
Unpack the executable to a folder using winRar, winZip, 7zip, etc..
Inside the folder you just unpacked you will find a file called 'BD1HDAa.inf', right click on this file and choose 'Open'.
Once inside the inf file, look for a header called '[Conexant]'.
Under that header, change 'Waikiki5047' to 'Venice5045', and near the end of the same line you will find another instance of 5047, change it to 5045 as well. Also, the number at the end of this line needs to match the number you found in the properties of the unrecognized sound card. (The number I had you make note of earlier)
Save and exit.
Return to device manager and Right-click on the unrecognized audio device, choose Properties, then click on the Reinstall driver button.
Choose 'No, not at this time' at the following prompt, then click next.
Choose 'Install from a specific location', then click next.
Browse for the folder that contains the sp105audiox folder, then click OK, then click Next. An audio driver should be detected at this point. You may have to tell windows to install the driver even though it is not certified.
Once windows has finished copying files, you should have a working sound card at this point. (The listing for the sound card in device manager will look a bit unusual though)
I hope this information is of some use.

sound problem
I did this, and yes the sounds did work, but the mic didnt. For the audio in device manager to come out normal lookin, scroll through the whole page and replace all waikiki's with venice. But as for the mic portion, i tried a different driver, but everytime i installed it, it would work, then as soon as i reboot the system, the effects would be different..

Some Help
I have the same exact model and I am doing the same thing, (putting XP Pro as my OS instead of Vista). Where did you get the drivers for the network and graphics? By the way, the person who posted the solution for the audio driver was right, because I did that and my audio works now. Thanks.

Here's a few links
The following drivers worked for a Toshiba Satellite - P105-S6197, upgrading from Vista to Windows XP Pro (yes, UPGRADING is the right word).
Graphics driver for XP is here:

I also found the driver for the wired network on intel's site, but can't remember where. If I find where I put the link, I'll post it.
I used the edited sound driver and got the sound working, but still haven't gotten the modem working (I don't need it now, but you never know). Hope this helps somebody, I know how much of a pain it was for me to find everything and get it working.
